Patient Group
Manor Park Medical Centre (MPMC) Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a very active and thriving group, currently, we have 8 members representing diverse professional background, age cohort and ethnicity.
Our amazing PPG helps us to meet the needs of our practice population by supporting with the following activities which include:
• offering practice staff and patients the opportunity to share in decisions around the running of the practice
• Provide an opportunity for patients to make positive suggestions about the practice, and be advocates for patient ideas
• increasing patients’ understanding of the reality of running a busy GP practice
• acting as a ‘critical friend’, by helping the practice to understand how patients feel about issues such as surgery opening hours, appointment systems, requests for home visits, waiting times, access to their favourite GP or practice nurse, repeat prescriptions and the range and type of services provided within the practice.
